For many years my Mother lived close by.  I felt safe in the knowledge that my family were just around the block to have her in our home for Friday night dinners, give lifts, keep an eye on her and help where she needed help. One of the most worrying things about our family moving to New York was knowing that I would no longer have the close proximity to her.  It has been a huge relief these last months to have the help of Daughters on Loan. They have taken over the caring of my Mother with grace and efficiency and have managed the practical issues of staff, doctors and groceries, as well as the emotional issues. Particularly now during this strange new time they have been indispensable.
